Project manager appointed

A project manager has been appointed to assist the Australian Organic Industry Working Group in the initial phases of considering options and processes for establishing a harmonised voice for Australia's organic industries.

The project manager is Policy Partners and the project team consists of Tony Webster (Managing Director and team leader) and Jason Alexandra (Principal Associate). Policy Partners has distinctive expertise in the delivery of complex projects spanning multiple stakeholders across industry, government and the private sector. Policy Partners specialises in policy, strategy, economic and performance.

One particular objective of this stage of the project is to consider how the working group could evolve to become more representative of Australia's diverse organic industries.

In addition, Policy Partners will be assisting the working group to:

  • broaden communications channels across Australia's organic industries
  • prepare a discussion paper on the key issues to be considered
  • undertake an initial round of industry consultations
  • provide advice on the next steps in the project
